Loud music, great drinks, laughing, dancing, and yet all I hear is silence. Singing, yelling over music, falling bodies and yet still silence. People tapping me and asking questions and still silence. I’d call that a success, letting fear, worries, complaints fall into the silence, ignoring the environment letting yourself fall into silence with it, enjoying the small things and daring the big things. Feeling the pain in your feet or your eyes from the bright lights, silence. Staring into those lights standing next to the big speakers falling deeper and deeper into silence. Saying goodbye and taking last-minute photos only finally letting you hear the noise, hear the singing, laughter, yelling. See yourself tripping over people and staring into those lights. Exiting the silence made it loud, letting yourself relish and enjoy the moment one last time.

Falling into your own silence.
