Take a deep breath.

See how silent it gets once you become focused on one thing. You can hear your breathing, while your heart steadies.

Feeling your shoulders relax, then letting your mind replay today. Did we eat today? Did we take in that important conversation? Do we even have enough time to be sitting here taking a break?

This silence allows your mind to wander off into the distance, you start to think about that one time 12yrs ago when you embarrassed yourself in front of distant friends after falling down the stairs…or that time you walked across the stage for graduation a small segment of our lives that finalized a chapter either so significant or just a faint memory.

Reminiscing about the past for so long only to finally realize time has passed bringing you further into the future, missing the present as you hold onto the past.

This was a break, right?

Went from letting today’s stresses go to get ready for tomorrows, turned into unwinding traumas from years ago and why?

No one knows, sometimes you get caught trying to re-write the past in your mind you forget to write your present, letting the future become a dream never come true.
