BOSTON- Emmanuel College’s Programming Team hosted Hallo-Fest on Friday, October 15 on the campus quad from 5:00 p.m to 8:00 p.m. Hallo-Fest was one of many events that have been hosted throughout the Fall 2021 semester.

A limited number of events were organized during the Spring 2021 semester. New events being held this semester has caused an abundance of joy for students.
Hallo-Fest, a Halloween event, had a great turn out of student involvement on campus.
Around 150 students gathered to enjoy the numerous activities that had been set up including tarot card reading, mini-golf, photo booths, and mechanical unicorn riding. Spike ball, cornhole, and hula hooping were smaller lawn games available for students to use.
‘The Bacon Truck’, ‘Dippin-Dots’ stand, and beverage table each offered students free refreshments to choose from.

A variety of music was played. Songs included: “Watermelon Sugar” by Harry Styles, “3005” by Childish Gambino, “Build me up Buttercup” by The Foundations, and “The Monster Mash” by Bobby Pickett.
The tarot card readings were visibly one of the most popular events. Attendees waited approximately one hour to have a free reading given by two Emmanuel College students.
“I think the tarot reading is really interesting. I think it’s very different and I’ve never seen it done at any other school before” attendee and Emmanuel College sophomore Chloe Fisher said.
Fisher continued to state her satisfaction with the new events being held this semester compared to the lack of events held last semester.
“There are a lot more events to do which is really nice, especially to get away from like all of your work and everything,” Fisher stated. “So I think it’s really appreciated from the student’s point of view. It’s a lot better.”
Her joy with the events being held this semester was also shared by fellow attendee and sophomore Delaney Clark.
“It’s been a million times better. So many more events, so much more fun things happening, so much to do here at Emmanuel.”
Both Fisher and Clark expressed their happiness with the number of on-campus events they have attended so far this semester including EC Kick Back, Lawn on EC, EC Carnival, Movie Night, and Roller Skating in the parking lot.
Alaina Ford, Treasurer of the Emmanuel College Programming Team, was pleased with the number of people who attended Hallo-Fest.
“I think we had a pretty good turn out for a Friday night and I’ve heard some positive feedback about the food and stuff.”
Ford continued to state how the programming team will hold more events throughout the semester.
“We do events every Tuesday at 9:00 p.m or 10:00 p.m, so we have a Paint Night coming up and Trivia and Wings. Then we have big events like this every so often.”
Access to all of the programming teams’ event information is advertised on Instagram, sent in emails, and listed on the website, Emmanuel College Engage.
